IGCSE/ GCE Equivalency Requirements

1. A proof should be provided to the Ministry of Education that the student completed 12 years of schooling.

2. Six O-levels (IGCSE) subjects must be passed at least at the ordinary level and two A-level (GCE) subjects at the advanced level.

3. Passing grades as follows:

O- level (IGCSE): A, B ,C , and D A- level (GCE) : A ,B ,C , and E  (A) is 95% (B) is 85%     (C) is 75%    (D) is 65% (E) is 55%   

    To obtain Scientific Stream

1. Six passing in IGCSE or O level exams including:

2. Two passing in exams of sciences

3. Two passes in A- level including:    

4. One full A-level or two ASs must be in mathematics or a full A- level in physics .

5. The other A-level could be a full A-level in any science or two ASs in two Sciences For Medicine, the required grad is A or 95%**

    To obtain Literary Stream

1. Six passing in IGCSE or O –level exams including:

2. One Mathematics One pass in Computer Studies/ Information Technology

3. Two passes in A- level with the following combination:

4. One A-level Arabic(if the student an Arab)

5. The other A-level may be full A-level in any literary subject or

6. Two AS- level in any two literary subjects or One AS –level in a literary subject and AS –level in a scientific subject.

    Requirements for Equivalency for School Leaving Certificate

1. A photocopy of the School Leaving Certificate

2. A letter from the Malaysian Student Department concerning the Equivalency

3. A primary acceptance letter from the University applied for.

4. A photocopy of a valid passport The student should finish 12 years of schooling

5. The student should pass at least 6 subjects to obtain the Certificate
